Clean vs. -not so clean- minds...

A young couple moved into a new neighbourhood.
The next morning, while they were eating breakfast, the young woman sees her neighbour hang the wash out to dry."That laundry is not very clean," said the young woman to her husband, "she doesn't know how to wash correctly."Her husband looked and listened, but remained silent.
Every time her neighbour would hang her wash to dry, the young woman would make the same comments. Her husband continued to look, listen, and remain silent.
About one month later, the woman was surprised to see a nice clean wash on the line, and said to her husband: "Look! She has learned how to wash correctly. I wonder who taught her this?"
The husband smiled and said: No one. I got up early this morning and washed our windows!

And so it is with life:

What we see when watching others depends on the purity of the window through which we look. Before we give any criticism, it might be a good idea to check our state of mind and ask ourselves if we are ready to see the good in others, rather than to judge them.

The story very well describes the situation of most of us human beings. We spend so much time & energy trying to find fault in others but neglect or rather ignore our own shortcomings.

Thanks for sharing the story, maybe it is time for some serious self reflection now :-)
